Two reasons people struggle to get their CSR right – and a solution

One of my favourite trips out last month was to the first joint BDA/Dentistry Show event in Birmingham. As is customary at these things, and particularly because I had missed our traditional curry at Raj Nagar in Solihull, I grabbed a bite to eat over lunchtime at the show with my good friend Chris Barrow.

After nearly collapsing at the cost of our NEC lunch (£24 for us both to have a flatbread and a drink), Chris was interested to see how the business I started at the beginning of the year was going.

As I said to Chris, I have really, really enjoyed working with clients over the past 6 months. I’ve been fortunate to secure work with some fantastic people in some outstanding practices, and it has been very encouraging to see the buzz and momentum that we’ve generated in launching a ‘joined-up’ CSR plan.

But it’s also highlighted a couple of gaps that I hadn’t envisaged at the beginning.

Firstly – people wanted support to implement the CSR plan once it’s created. As Colin Campbell, my very first client said when I told him I was surprised he had brought me in ‘Why would we know how to do this – you’ve got decades of experience doing this, and we needed your help to create the plan and keep on track.’

Secondly, I’ve spoken to numerous owners and Practice Managers who would love to start work with me, but didn’t feel they had the time or the ‘bandwidth’ to bring me in just yet. They needed a managed solution from the very beginning.

“A strictly limited, monthly membership club for practices (and businesses) who want their CSR professionally created, supported and implemented.”

So today, I am launching my CSR Club – a strictly limited, monthly membership club for practices (and businesses) who want their CSR professionally created, supported and implemented. In short, it involves me working remotely with your manager to get your CSR plan up and running and implemented, and provide you with support materials, advice and accountability over 12 months.

I am delighted with the response so far. I’ve only mentioned it to a handful of close contacts, and have already sold more than 10% of the places. There are just 24 available, with the club starting on 1st July.

At just £210 inc VAT a month and a 1 year membership, I expect the places to go fast. So, whether you want help to manage the plan you have, or to create a new one, the CSR Club will help you achieve your goals.
